About Us

Our aim at the Caritate Nursing Home is to provide care and accommodation in an atmosphere where our service users have their individuality, privacy and dignity respected and where they have the right to live a life of their own choosing, coming and going as they please. The core of our care is to make life as normal, pleasant and safe for our service users as is possible, with a view to help them enjoy their lives and achieve their own potential. Active participation by families is encouraged, as is mixing in with the community through outings, pub visits and membership of local clubs and organisations.

The ‘family’ at Laninval House includes our pets of which we have several. There is an aquarium of tropical fish, our Jack Russell terrier, Button and a wide variety of wildlife can be observed on the grounds including rabbits, squirrels, foxes, deer and many kinds of birds.

Visitors are welcome to bring their pets by providing notice as Button is free to roam and can often be seen following staff around both in the home and garden.
